Malaysia finish Asian Championships campaign third

Kuala Lumpur (14 March, 2016): Malaysia’s run in the second Asian Sepaktakraw Championships 2016 came for an end in the semi-final stage on Saturday after they were beaten 2-0 by eventual champions Korea ‘A’ on the Jeongeup Stadium in Jeoungeup-Si, Southern Korea. Malaysia, who were runners-up within the 2013 edition, fell to a shock defeat at the hands of the Korea ‘A’ team when they lost 17-21, 17-21.

The line-up of Sahidan Md Ali, Muhamad Nazmi Mohd Najib, Mohd Safarudin Abu Bakar, Muhammad Afifuddin Mohd Razali plus Norshahruddin Mad Ghani were no match against Korea ‘A’s Park Hyeongeun, Shin Hanyoung, Hong Seunghyeon, Shelter Junho and Jeong Youngman.
